Before Your Tattoo Appointment
To ensure the best experience and result for your new piece at Komorebi Corner, please follow these preparation guidelines carefully.
1. Rest & Hydration
• Get a good night’s sleep before your session.
• Drink plenty of water — hydrated skin takes ink better and heals faster.
2. Fuel Up
• Have a solid meal or snack before your appointment. Avoid coming on an empty stomach.
3. Avoid Alcohol & Drugs
• Do not drink alcohol or use recreational drugs for at least 24 hours before your tattoo. They thin your blood and can increase bleeding or bruising.
4. Skin Preparation
• Make sure the area to be tattooed is clean and free of lotions, oils, perfumes, or self-tanners.
• Avoid sunburn or tanning the area.
• Shave the area only if necessary, and do it carefully — leave major hair removal to your artist if unsure.
5. Clothing
• Wear comfortable clothes that give easy access to the tattoo area.
• Bringing a blanket is optional for extra comfort.
6. Medications & Health
• Inform your artist if you are on any medications (blood thinners, acne meds, etc.) or have medical conditions.
• If you have allergies to ink or topical products, mention them.
7. Topical Numbing / Anesthetics
• Do not use any numbing creams or sprays unless prescribed by a doctor. Applying them on your own is illegal and will result in rescheduling and a new deposit.
